Scientific activity

Research effort in NIISA is mainly concentrated in special design departments where highly-qualified and skilled engineering and technical personnel is employed, among them 3 doctors of technical sciences and 18 candidates of technical sciences.

More than 80% of all works are constituted by research and development.

Every year, more than 1000 employees are engaged in R&D works in the following areas:
• - system engineering solutions for design of automated control systems for various applications;
• - algorithmic solutions for design of automated control systems;
• - software;
• - workstations and design;
• - hardware;
• - communications facilities.

Schools of system engineers, communications engineers, circuit engineers, algorithm designers, mathematicians, programmers, designers and production engineers have been created.

Particular attention is given to young scientists. Conferences of young scientists and specialists are held annually.

Reliability and high quality of the company's products are ensured through comprehensive testing and verification of design solutions in integrated modelling centres.

Software is developed with the use of the following licensed products: Windows-XP, Windows-2003, Linux, Solaris operating systems; Trolltech QT, Visual C++, Delphi, Visual FoxPro, Oracle Developer, Oracle Designer, Rational Rose software development environments; Oracle Server, SQL Server, MySQL database management systems; Component Integrator, RTX OS configuration management tools; Arcview, Arc Info, Map Info, Karta-2000, MapObjects, MapX, UniTopograf® geographic information systems; Pro/ENGNEER Foundation 2001 licensed CAD system for 3D design and solid parameter modelling of electronics and machines.
