Road measuring equipment for increasing road safety and operating efficiency

Application: Automated collection and processing of telemetry information about the road condition, traffic parameters and weather conditions and delivery of this information to dispatchers and road traffic participants.

System components:
• Central station dispatcher’s computer,
• Working station dispatcher’s computer,
• Road measuring station,
• Information board.

Functions:

Central station dispatcher’s computer:
• - collection and storage of information received from the working station;
• - display of information in tabular or graphical form;
• - statistical treatment of information about the road condition and traffic parameters;
• - display of information received from the working station on a map (option);
• - logging of input and output information.

Working station dispatcher’s computer:
• - collection and storage of information received from sensors of the road measuring station over communication links;
• - display of information in tabular or graphical form;
• - accumulation of information about the road condition and traffic parameters in the database;
• - prediction of the road condition for a given period of time;
• - logging of input and output information.

Data exchange between the system components can be carried out over a wire line, a switched line or a GSM-link.

Optional equipment includes traffic intensity measuring sensors, vehicle classification sensors and other equipment.

The system configuration and the quantity of equipment are specified as agreed with a customer.
