KOLAS PORTABLE AERIAL SURVEY SYSTEM

Application: the Kolas system is designed for aerial observation of the earth surface by means of TV or IR image acquisition.

Functional domain:
the system can be used by armed units, special services, safeguard services, as well as in the national economy.

Components:
- air drone;
- replaceable payload (TV or IR camera);
- ground control station;
- spare parts, tools and accessories;
- container (case) for transportation.

The system can be transported by any transport and delivered to the operating site by one man.

The air drone consists of:

Operation options

Variant 1. The system operates in automatic or semi-automatic mode with preliminary navigation plotting. A flight in semi-automatic mode is performed according to operator command received from the ground control station. In both operation modes telemetry data is sent to the ground station.

Variant 2.
The system includes no ground control station. Flight routes are stored in the on-board computer. The route and the flying height are selected by the operator with the help of toggles on board the drone. No telemetry information is transmitted in-flight. The operator can view TV or IR imagery in video goggles.
The drone can be launched from any ground at a wind speed of up to 8 m/s and temperatures from -30°С to +40°С.
