Automated energy control and metering system
Application:
The automated energy control and metering system is a software and hardware package with integrated sensing devices. It is designed both for commercial metering of electric energy and technical metering of energy at divisions of an enterprise for detection of electric loss.
Functionality:
- energy metering;
- control, monitoring and metering functions;
- construction of local and distributed hierarchical systems;
- adaptation to any energy saving objects and schemes;
- integration into automated systems of enterprises and transfer of data into the enterprise’s information systems;
- Windows operating system;
- database based on Microsoft SQL Server.
Purpose of introduction:
- multirate settlements with suppliers and consumers of electric energy, based on accurate, valid, legitimate on-line data;
- optimization of energy consumption and energy saving due to the use of real-time remote automation of energy metering;
- rapid determination of the energy and balance at an enterprise and its divisions and detection of energy losses;
- reduction of time necessary for processing of information by economic departments of an enterprise due to rapid reception of valid on-line information about power consumption.
Equipment:
The system is composed both of hardware and software manufactured by NIISA and of commercial computers, communication facilities and networking equipment. It is based on self-contained components and can be scaled up from small metering nodes to large enterprise-wide systems.
The equipment includes:
- current and voltage measuring transformers;
- energy meters of different types and from different manufacturers;
- data collection and transmission device;
- database server, operator workstations;
- comprehensive data collection and delivery facilities (the system supports data collection over various communication systems).
Implemented projects
The Belarusian automated system for control and metering of international and intersystem electric energy flows and energy generation includes more than 30 electric power stations and more than 200 substations.
Automated systems for control and commercial metering of electric energy are used at the following industrial enterprises and companies:
NIISA, Mogilev Rayon Factory, BelFA, Mobile Digital Communications, BeST.
Automated systems for control and technical metering of electric energy are used at the following industrial enterprises:
Belarusian Metallurgical Works, Rechitsa Hardware Plant.
Information about the automated energy control and metering system has been published in the "Power Engineering" magazine (published by the Belarusian National Technical University).
