For the first time NIISA participated in the Annual International Production-Technical Workshop "Automated Energy Control and Metering System. Development Considerations of the Wholesale Power Energy Market and Formation of Balancing Market in the Republic of Kazakhstan". The workshop took place on March 3-5, 2010 in Almaty (Kazakhstan).
The workshop was organized by the Union of Power Engineers of Kazakhstan (non-profit institution that unites key companies of Kazakhstan power engineering).

In the workshop there participated representatives of Kazakhstan electrical power system, "KEGOC" JSC (national network operator), electrical power system of Kyrgyzstan, leading Russian companies and solution providers in the sphere of automation and automated energy control and metering system ("Energomera" Group, "Prosoft-Systems" OJSC, "Elster Metronika"), and "Sigma Telas" Company (Lithuania).

At the workshop A.Artiukh, department head of NIISA, presented a paper "Construction of national energy metering system of the Republic of Belarus in the context of establishment and development of the wholesale market of neighboring states".
During his report A.Artiukh covered the issues concerning establishment of national energy control and metering system in the Republic of Belarus, possible ways to apply Belarusian experience at implementation of the system in Kazakhstan.
