PKTs FILE INTEGRITY CONTROL PROGRAM

APPLICATION

The PKTs program is designed to control integrity of data and program files in a computer and to deliver the results to the administrator. Control is carried out by comparing the current hash values of program files with reference values generated during program setting and on administrator’s command.

BASIC CHARACTERISTICS

The PKTs program runs under Windows 2003 Server (for the server-end portion of the program) and Windows XP (for the client-end portion) operating systems in combination with the program for calculation of the hash value (HASH-V program).

The distribution CD contains the PKTzL program and the system programmer’s manual.

FUNCTIONS

The PKTs program performs the following functions:

-        Generation of reference hash values and their recording to the OS register;

-        File integrity control based on reference hash values;

-        Generation of messages with program outputs and their delivery to the security administrator;

-        Recording of outputs to the log on the security administrator’s workstation;

-        Presentation of integrity violation messages to the administrator and the user.

ADVANTAGES

Compliance of the PKTs program with the information security requirements is certified by Expert Opinion № 233 issued on 11.01.2011 by the Situation Analysis Centre under the President of the Republic of Belarus.
