HASH PROGRAM

APPLICATION

The HASH program is designed to calculate files’ hash values (in accordance with STB 1176.1-99).

BASIC CHARACTERISTICS

The HASH program runs under Linux Redhat v. 4.0 operating system.

The program is called from the OS command shell or from another program using the HASH.

The program does not perform processing of results. The size of the file for hashing should not exceed 4 GB. The length of the hash value is fixed and equals 256 bits.

FUNCTIONS

The HASH program calculates files’ hash values and outputs the calculated value to the command line.

ADVANTAGES

Compliance of the HASH program with the information security requirements is certified by compliance certificate № BY/112 03.07. 036 0100 issued on 29.06.2009 by the Situation Analysis Centre under the President of the Republic of Belarus.
